Kelley Armstrong is a new author for me. I have heard that her books are fabulous so she has been in my TBR pile for awhile. I am so glad I decided to try her because I loved this book!!! It wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but in a good way. Elena and Clay are a terrific alpha couple and have fantastic chemistry from the beginning. As the book opens, there has already been ten years of history between them and they have been through a lot. Elena and Clay are flawed, complicated, and likeable. I can't wait to read more books in this series to find out what happens to them. The other characters such as Jeremy and Nick are great too and I hope their storylines continue to develop as well. I have read other werewolf books, but I can see now that most of them pale in comparison to Kelley Armstrong's writing. Warning! This book is not for the faint of heart as there are descriptions of deer and rabbit killings. It was the only part of the story I didn't like, but I understood the importance of it to the story as a whole.
