To Beguile a Beast - Elizabeth Hoyt I have read all of Elizabeth Hoyt's books and I think this is my favorite one of all! I have been looking forward to this one since Helen and Alastair were introduced in the last book. Generally, I don't tend to read books revolving around former mistresses and children, but this one was different. I immediately felt compassion for Helen's situation and she didn't play the role of "victim" in the book either. Alastair was also a character who had a lot of depth and vulnerabilty which I also enjoyed reading about. I think Elizabeth Hoyt does a marvelous job of taking characters with flaws and making the reader connect with them. I also appreciate that her heros and heroines aren't always in their late teens or early twenties when the stories take place.
