This was my first Gaelen Foley novel and it definitely won't be my last. I have read so many wonderful reviews about her writing that I was looking forward to starting this series. I initially hesitated to start it because I generally do not like storylines with courtesans in them. The description of the book really does not go into depth about how this happens with the heroine and I think that was why I waited awhile to begin it. I am not going to summarize the story other than to say I really liked the hero and heroine in it. The hero, Lord Hawksworth, is very swoon worthy and had all of the qualities I like reading about in books. The heroine, Belinda Hamilton, was also a character I enjoyed and felt so sorry for her with all the suffering she had endured. I will definitely be adding them to my list of "Super Couples" in books! The only part that I did not particularly enjoy reading about was the political aspect of the time period. I felt like it was not necessarily needed and took away from the story of the book. Overall, this was a strong 4.5 star book for me!
